Who we are...
We are an IRS recognized public charity as described in section 509 (a) (1) of the IRS Code and a 501(C) 3 tax exempt organization which is guided by Christian principles and governed by a Board of Directors composed of local civic and community leaders. As such we are authorized to receive tax-deductible donations for grant distributions to worthy and needy applicants, usually, but not absolutely restricted to other 501(C)3 organizations, which in the Board of Directors' judgment best fit the stated purposes of the Foundation.
Our mission...
The Bacot / McCarty Foundation is organized for, and is operated exclusively for, charitable, literary and educational purposes; including, but not limited to, the encouragement of art and further education in Jackson County and South Mississippi. The Foundation is very community oriented. Your donation goes back into our local community. We are guided by Christian principles and governed by a Board of Directors comprised of local civic and business leaders. All overhead administrative costs are donated by individuals and corporations who are making our communities a better place through their generous efforts.
