Robert H. Maxwell, President

Mr. Maxwell, a native of Mississippi, served 24 years with the Pascagoula, Mississippi, Police Department.  During his years in law enforcement, he took advantage of the Federal L.E.A.P. program to earn a degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he also did graduate work.  He then taught in the criminal justice program at the University of Southern Mississippi and was the director of the Jackson County (Mississippi) Juvenile Court.  He also served many years as an officer of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Association.  Mr. Maxwell is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Secret Service Dignitary Protection program.  

Upon his retirement from the Pascagoula Police Department in 1984, Mr. Maxwell joined the staff of then-Congressman (now Senator) Trent Lott of Mississippi.  His first position was that of field representative.  At the time of his appointment to the Police Corps, he was an economic development specialist for Senator Lott and worked the entire state of Mississippi.  During his tenure with Senator Lott, Mr. Maxwell actively supported passage of the legislation that ultimately became the Police Corps Act.  

Mr. Maxwell retired from Federal Service on December 31, 2003, after serving the government for 23 years.  He was the National Director of the Office of the Police Corps and Law Enforcement Education at the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs.  Mr. Maxwell was named to that position by President George W. Bush in November 2001.  

Mr. Maxwell served a three-year tour of duty with the United States Army in Germany.  He has also served with the Mississippi National Guard.

Mr. Maxwell is an avid pilot.  He is married to the former Jeanie Martin of Pascagoula.  They have four children. 


J.R. "Jim" Hoskins, Sr., Secretary

Jim Hoskins is the retired assistant controller of Chevron International in San Francisco and previously served as the Finance Director of the Chevron refinery in Pascagoula.  A graduate of Louisiana State University, he is on the Board of Deacons at Wade Baptist Church and a member of the Board of Directors of the Home of Grace Christian Recovery Center as well as Macland Inc. He has previously served as a member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, the Ocean Springs and Pascagoula Lion's Club, the Jackson County Planning Commission, and the Jackson County United Way. He is a commissioner of the Port of Pascagoula and was elected to the Board in 2003.

S. Michael Dickson, Treasurer

Mike Dickson is Executive V.P. of Merchants and Marine Bank and on the Administrative Board of St. Paul’s Methodist Church.  He has expertise in asset-management and investment. He was elected to the Board in 2004. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Committee of Rebuild Jackson County. He is happily married to Mildred Dickson and resides in Ocean Springs, MS.


Dewey H. Lane, M.D.

Dr. Lane is the Director and Secretary of Virgin Oil Co. of New Orleans and Dallas, TX.  President of Junction City Oil Co., Petal, MS. Managing member of J & M Offshore, LLC (oil and gas exploration and production).  President R H C Enterprises, Inc. (timberland and real estate). Director of Gulf Coast Youth for Christ, Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, and Mississippi Fellowship of United Methodist Evangelicals. Member Board of Governors and former president of Mississippi Economic Council.  Former Chairman of Board of Eastover Bank for Savings. Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery, Tulane U. School of Medicine, New Orleans, and private practice of General and Peripheral Vascular Surgery from 1964 - 1997 in Singing River Hospital System, Jackson County, MS.

Dan Magruder

Dan Magruder joined the Board of Directors in 2005. He is the President of Rex Distributing and serves on the People's Bank Executive Board as their Vice-Chairman. He is a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and he and his wife Ginger reside in Ocean Springs, MS.


Evelyn S. McCarty

Evelyn McCarty is a licensed real estate broker and has managed small businesses.  She has been active in the First Baptist Church, the Junior Auxiliary (a women’s charity) and the PTA when her three children were in school. She was elected to the Board in late 2004, after the death of her husband, Jolly P. McCarty, who had been on the Board when the name was changed to honor him.

 

 

 

 


S.A. "Mac" McInnis, III

Singleton A. McInnis, III is currently Chairman of the Board of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth for Christ organization, President & CEO of MacLand Disposal Center, Inc and MacLand Disposal Inc.  Mac was in the banking business for 15 years prior to coming to the Disposal Center.  He is a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Moss Point.  Mac has served on the Home of Grace Board of Directors and has served in other community activitives.


Todd Trenchard, Executive Director

Todd is the Communications Director of Merchants & Marine Bank. Previously, he worked as the Development Director of the MS Gulf Coast Youth for Christ organization. He hosts a weekly television show on WKFK TV-7, as well as a weekly radio broadcast on WPMP AM 1580. Todd served for years as the Community Relations Director of the Home of Grace Christian Recovery Program and for the past three years he has served as President of the Gideon Ministry in Ocean Springs. He founded and directs a three-quarter way home in Gautier, MS called Trinity House, is Chairman of the Board of the Salvation Army of Jackson County, and is the Vice-Chairman of the Jackson County Habitat for Humanity organization and serves on an additional 9 Board of Directors and Advisory Councils throughout the Gulf Coast area. Todd is the President and a Board Member of the Pascagoula Rotary as well as a Pascagoula Kiwanis International member. He has been the Chairman of the Jolly McCarty Memorial Celebrity Golf Classic for the past four years, is last year's Chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs Steak & Steak dinner, and is the founder and Executive Board Member of Rebuild Jackson County. He graduated with Highest Honors from USM with a B.S. in Psychology, is a graduate of Leadership Jackson County and Leadership Mississippi. Todd has been honored as the Volunteer of the Year by several local agencies, the MS Legal Services Corporation named him the State of Mississippi's Southern Region's Top Community Leader in 2006, and he recently was honored by The Sun Herald & Governor Haley Barbour with his induction into the Roland Weeks Hall of Fame's 2007 Class of South Mississippi's Top Community Leaders. He is on the Board of Directors of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and is the chairman of the 2008 Jimmy Carter Work Project for Habitat for Humanity. Todd, 49, is happily married to Debbie, a preschool director, and they have one son, Randall, who recently graduated from Ole Miss. They reside in Ocean Springs, MS.
